Voted "Best Day Care Center in Kerr
County" History: Established in 1962 as a community service, we provide a full-time early childhood program for children age six weeks through five years with a licensed capacity for 96 children. Philosophy: To provide quality child care and Christian education, mission outreach and community service. The center is designed, equipped, programmed and staffed to promote the interest, imagination and enthusiasm of the children to carry them from one successful learning experience to another. Curriculum: Our center uses a theme unit, faith based curriculum (Pinnacle). Each theme is incorporated throughout the classroom. All children over eighteen months participate in daily fellowship; which includes favorite songs, The Lord's Prayer, and the Pledge of Allegiance. On Tuesdays there is Spanish and Sign Language with Mrs. Alisa. On Wednesdays the older three classrooms participate in Chapel. On Thursday Tot Basketball (3-5 yr old) with Mrs. Hicks, teaching hand eye coordination, ball handling, dribbling, and the basic fundamentals of basketball Also on Thursdays is music with Mrs. Alisa.There is an open door policy towards visitation and parent participation. Enrollment: The center is open from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks are served. Projects: The formal
accreditation program by the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association (ELEA)
is in progress. The association
provides an opportunity for early childhood centers to participate in a
3-Phase Certification Process, which utilizes self-study materials to
help promote high quality standards in early childhood programs.
