Present: Andy Simon, President, Steve Anfinson, Donna Kelley, Mary Vestuto, Donna
Jenschke, Sara McKeon, Sandra Yarbrough, Jerry Stowe, Bobbie Joines, Jennie Motheral, Pastor Don Rauhut and Martha Kies. Guest Jo Davidson

Opening Prayer and Devotional - given by Jennie Motheral

Proposal for financial secretary - Jo Davidson presented to the Council the proposal of the Financial Secretary Position to be changed to a Contract Labor Position. Monthly rate $1,200 in place of $1,612 with $123.24 payroll tax. A savings to the church of $6,556.

Council had open discussion concerning the change of the Financial Secretary Position.
Tentative approval with acceptance of approved contract was made by Jennie Motheral
and Seconded by Mary Vestuto. Motion carried by all. Approval to be reviewed at next
Council meeting with new Pastor present.

Pastor Don Rauhut report - Sherri Mikeska gave her resignation as Sunday School
Coordinator effective immediately due to health problems. Memorial service for Jim
Koetting would be Sunday afternoon.

Treasurer’s Report - Income less then budgeted and expenses less then budgeted. See attached Treasurer's Report.

Minutes - Approval of minutes by Sandra Yarbrough and seconded by Jennie Motheral. Motion carried by all.

Fellowship Report - Sandra Yarbrough to send out invitation for Bar-b-Que dinner and Installation Service to each member.

Replacement for Donna Lowmiller as Wednesday evening meal planner. Council decided to put position on hold at this time.

Jennie Motheral - reported several new name tags for attendees, letters sent out to visitors and again received information on a pictorial publication for the congregation.

Bobbie Joines - Sunday School is averaging 6-8 in attendance with Carolyn McBride's class averaging 52 and Pastor Breen averaging 30. Bobbie says 10% of worship service attends Sunday School. Men ‘s breakfast and Bible Study averages 22 in attendance.

Rally Day - during Sunday school time, and Zion ‘s Got Talent to include Children ‘s Center in activities. There was open discussion about the Youth Coordinator position now that Nikki will be returning to college. Jerry Stowe made a motion to postpone discussion on position until new Pastor arrives. Motion seconded by Mary Vestuto. Motion carried by all.

Jerry Stowe Property Chairman - reported on main water line break and that Holloway plumbing would be repairing 8-11-2009. AA group had made a request for reduction in fees. Jennie Motheral made a motion to leave the fees at $25 per week with Donna Jenschke seconding. Emergency lights will be installed in the restroom. Jerry reported a policy being put in place to count money.

Donna Kelley - Children ‘s Center focus for September.

Steve Anfinson - reported Children's Center running smoothly.
