Those Present: Sherri Mikeska, Donna Kelley, Barbra Vanderboff, Harry Hargis, Chuck Eissler, Bobbie Joines, Steve Anfinson, Jerry Stowe, A. J. & Arita Raso, Donna Jenschke, Barbara Dierker, Marilyn Thompson, Mark Bigott, Steve & Teri Griffin, Linda Mann, John & Tracy Flowers, Peggy Peese, Becky Loop, John Harrison, Nikki Kordzik Meeting called to order by President A. J. Raso. Opening Prayer and Devotional: A. J. Raso gave the devotional and opening prayer. Discussion followed addressing issues and concerns expressed at open forum. Issues Addressed: Better communication - between the congregation and the church council. Personnel Committee - form committee to keep council more informed of staff issues. Formalize personnel management processes. Youth program - obtain more information on filling the vacancy in the youth program to present to the congregation. Motion made by Sherri Mikeska to approve names submitted to the call committee for an associate pastor. Motion seconded by Jerry Stowe. Motion carried (10 in favor, 1 opposed). Names submitted: Pastor Don Rauhut, Steve Arifinson, Kassie Mikeska, Susan McMahon, Misty Erland, Ann Smith, and John Harrison. Motion made by Jerry Stowe to table further discussion on presenting call committee recommendations to the congregation to next council meeting. Motion seconded by Harry Hargis. Motion carried by all. Bobbie Joines moved not to approve a Sunday morning or Wednesday night schedule change at this time. Motion seconded by Donna Jenschke. Motion carried by all.
